สวัสดีครับ

คราวนี้ขอพาไปชิมอาหาร Buffet อร่อยๆ ไม่แพง ใจกลางเมือง เหมาะจะเป็นที่สังสรรพบปะแบบง่ายๆ ขิลด์ๆ ไม่มีพีธีรีตองมากมายนะครับ ราคาแค่คนละ 300 กว่าบาทเอง รวม softdrink แล้วด้วยครับ

โรงแรม Holiday Inn อยู่ข้างๆเกสรพลาซ่าครับ มี Intercontinental Bangkok กับ Holiday Inn Bangkok อยู่ในรั้วเดียวกันเลย

Can I introduce a great, value for money buffet venue somewhere in the city? It's a short walk from Siam shopping area and conveniently accessible via BTS Ploen Chit.

How cheap? You might ask... Well, its' a little over 300 Baht with softdrink included. I guess they are trying to step aside and avoid the competition of higher up luxury dining which is getting overwhelm around the area, including its sister hotel - Intercontinental Bangkok which is just adjacent.

Cafe G อยู่ชั้นล่างเลยครับ มีประตูทางเข้าของตัวเอง ไม่ต้องเข้าไปใน Lobby ก็ได้ นี่เห็นมี poster promote บุฟเฟต์อาหารเย็นนี่ด้วย

Cafe G is on ground floor, accessible without having to get into the hotel lobby. The poster promoting their dinner buffet can also be seen here.

ราคาครับ 249++ และถ้าอยากได้เบียร์แบบ refill เรื่อยๆ ก็เพิ่มอีก 249 ก็ได้แล้ว

พาดูรอบๆก่อน นี่ภาพจะเบลอๆนะครับ เพราะเค้าไม่ให้ถ่ายครับ ผมเอา iphone แอบถ่ายเร็วๆ แล้วก็รีบเก็บใส่กระเป๋า เลยได้มาไม่กี่มุมหรอกครับ

หลักๆก็จะมีมุมสลัด อาหารไทย มุมจานเนื้อ อาหารหวาน ผลไม้ ไอศครีม และมุมน้ำอัดลม อาหารไม่เยอะมากครับ แล้วก็ไม่ได้ Fancy มากมาย เป็นอาหารที่ค่อนข้างคุ้นตา แต่อร่อยและวัตถุดิบคุณภาพดีครับ

ผมคิดว่าเค้าคงจะพยายามถอยห่างจากการแข่งขันระดับบนที่มีเยอะมากในบริเวณนี้ ปล่อยให้ระดับบนเป็นหน้าที่ของ Espresso Cafe ในโรงแรมอินเตอร์คอนไปซะ ส่วนตัวเองก็มาทำระดับกลางแบบนี้ ก็นับว่าเป็นกลยุทธ์ที่ดีครับ

Just to show you around. Actually they did not permit any photography at the food corner, but I sneak in with my iphone and take a quick snapshot. That's why some photo might be a bit blurry

The food is quite ordinary, and choices is not so plentiful.. But I found them to be adequate, tasty and of good quality. Note the Carbonated softdrink fountain, that's also included in the price.

เริ่มที่สลัดดีกว่า ซีซาร์สลัดตามเคยของผมแหละ แต่เหลือบไปเห็นไก่ย่างแบบไทยๆ ก็เลยคีบมาชิ้นนึง ทำเป็น Chicken Caesar Salad แบบ Fusion ซะงั้น ไก่ย่างอร่อยอ่ะครับ

เริ่มสนุกกันใหญ่ นี่เป็นอาหารจากมุมอาหารไทยครับ มีปลาผัดพริก แกงไก่ กับไก่ย่าง ทุกๆคนชิมไก่ย่างจากสลัดของผมแล้วก็ต้องไปตักมาเองอีกคนละชิ้นสองชิ้น

And the full fun start. This is from Thai corner. Stir fried fish in chilli sauce, chicken curry and those Thai grilled chicken with Som Tum (Sour and spicy papaya salad)

ของหวานครับ มีเต้าส่วนกับลอดช่อง เต้าส่วนอร่อยครับ ลอดช่องไม่ได้ทาน เพราะเป็นน้ำแข็ง

Thai dessert, boiled mung bean in clear sauce, and the other... I'm sorry.. but I really can't describe it.. Just take it as another nice cold dessert in coconut milk
