สวัสดีครับ

มาดูมินิรีวิวขากลับกันครับ หลายๆคนคงแทบจะลืม Domestic  Service ของสายการบินนี้ไปแล้ว และสำหรับตัวผมเองก็คิดว่าน่าจะเป็นไฟลทอำลา OX ของผมเช่นกัน เพราะด้วยตารางเวลาและความถี่เที่ยวบินที่มีอยู่ในตอนนี้ ไม่น่าจะเหมาะกับแผนการเที่ยวโดยทั่วไปของผมเท่าไหร่

 

Dear Friend,

 

I have, this time, brought you a pretty unusual alternative of Air Travelling in Thailand. Orient Thai Airlines is once a popular, low fare, convenient choice of domestic journey. Unfortunately, they shifted their focus to more profitable international charter service. Leaving only a few domestic flight as a feeder to international ones.

 

You can find the other review in this trip (with Bangkok Airways) in the link below. But I’m afraid that it is in Thai only, as I have done a pretty large number of Bangkok Airways – bi lingual review already.

วันเดินทาง ผมขึ้นรถรับจ้างที่โรงแรมหาให้ (เป็น Corolla Altis สภาพดี ราคาต่อเที่ยว 700 บาท ไม่ได้เป็นแท็กซี่นะครับ แต่ก็ไม่เชิงจะลีมูซีน เลยขอเรียกว่ารถรับจ้างดีกว่า) ใช้เวลา 40 นาทีก็มาถึงสนามบินครับ

วันนี้กลับเร็ว เพราะเที่ยวบินของโอเรียนท์มีให้เลือกเท่านี้ ก็เลยได้เห็นสนามบินภูเก็ตเวลาไม่แน่นมากเท่าไหร่

 

It’s pretty unusual to see Phuket with some space to breath. HKT airport is bursting at its seams and we are desperate for a new terminal. My flight depart pretty early in the afternoon and it’s already their last service of the day to Bangkok. Surely the feeding flight with lots of connecting passengers.

เคาน์เตอร์โอเรียนท์ก็ไม่ช้ามาก รอคิวนิดเดียว หนักงานก็ยิ้มแย้มดีครับ

The queue is short and the staff are smiling, efficient, helpful.

ได้ Boarding pass มา ไหงน้ำหนักมันถึง 19 กิโลได้ก็ไม่ทราบ ขามายังไม่ถึงนะ สงสัยจะมีของเปียก

Boarding pass is pretty untypical indeed.

ข้างนอกไม่มีอะไร ก็มานั่งกินเบอร์เกอร์คิงข้างในดีกว่าครับ เอามานั่งกินแถวนี้

Let’s get into the departure lounge. There’s nothing much to do or see outside anyway.

กินๆไปก็เห็น Pilot/ FO ของ 767 fleet อีก 4 คนมานั่งๆอยู่แถวๆนี้ ก็ลุ้นๆว่าเขาจะเปลียนเครื่องเป็น 767 ไหมหนอ ไม่ได้เจอ 767 มานานมากๆ อยากนั่งอีกสักหนก่อนที่เครื่องบินรุ่นที่สวยงามนี้จะถูกปลดระวางไปหมด

I saw 4 flight crew who obviously are to operate 767 somewhere. Let’s make a wish for an aircraft sub, from Md-80 or 737 to a 767 that I long for.

สักพักเครื่องก็เข้ามาครับ แง่ว 737 อ่ะ ผิดหวัง ตอนแรกนึกว่า MD-8X อะไรราวๆนั้น คือชอบทั้ง Md และ 767 แต่เบื่อ 737 แล้ว (ผมไม่ทราบเลยว่า Orient ปลดระวาง MD  ทั้งหมดแล้ว คาดว่าเป็นอีตอนที่มีปัญหาเรื่องไฟลท์กันช่วงนั้นแหละครับ ที่ตารางเที่ยวบินหายไปเยอะๆ)

Well, my wish is not granted. We are to get on 737-400. It’s the last aircraft I wish to travel on. At least the Mad Dog would be better (but I have no knowledge that they have retired all of their MDs aircraft slightly prior to my flight

ในเครื่อง เบาะสวยดี แต่เก่าและมีคราบบนเบาะเต็มไปหมด นักบินทั้ง 4 ท่านตามเรามาด้วยครับ เห็นว่า deadheading ไปทำงานต่อที่กรุงเทพ ส่วน emergency exit row ก็มีน้องๆสิบกว่าคนที่ดูท่าทางต้องเป็น Cabin Crew แน่ๆ (แต่จะเป็นพนักงานหรือกำลังไปเรียนเพื่อเป็นพนักงานก็ไม่ทราบ แต่ชุดสูทดำและรวบผมเหมือนกันหมด) มานั่งอยู่เรียบร้อย

The interior look pretty tired, stain on the cushion and tight seat pitch. A typically low cost airlines…

ขอบอกว่าเบาะแคบมากครับ น่าจะแคบกว่า 320 ของ FD เสียอีก นี่คือนั่งตัวตรงเต็มที่

See the seat pitch? Some of them are probably tighter than Air Asia A320 even.

เห็น uniform ใหม่ของเขาแล้วก็สวยไปอีกแบบ ดูเท่ขรึมๆดี แต่ผมรู้สึกว่าชอบสีเหลืองมากกว่า ดูสดใสดี

Despite all the hardware problem, the crew are all pleasant, polite and helpful
