แอร์พอร์ตลิงค์ Express Line ทั้งพญาไท และมักกะสัน เปลี่ยนเวลาอกจากทุกครึ่งชั่วโมงเป็นทุกหนึ่งชั่วโมง
ใครจะเดินทางก็คำนวนเวลากันดีๆ นะครับ
เมื่อวานจะไปขึ้นที่พญาไทเที่ยว 13.30 น. เขาให้รอขึ้นตอน 14.00 น. หรือให้ไปขึ้น City line แทน
เกือบไไม่ทัน Flight เลย เฮ้อ!!!

This is just pathetic!!!!
I can't think of an airport express service anywhere else in the world that has a frequency of just 1 train/hr.
Compare that to Hong Kong's one-every-10 minutes!!!
It is a vicious cycle isn't it? :

Poor service -> Lack of passengers -> Lack of revenue -> Reduce frequency & Poor service -> Lack of passengers -> ....full circle.
Add corruption to the mix and the circle completes faster.

Poor planning, lack of cooperation & coordination amongst related parties, and above all - corruption - is the root cause of this project's failure right from its inception and will be, amongst many other reasons, its eventual downfall.

I can't think of an airport express service anywhere else in the world that has a frequency of just 1 train/hr.
Compare that to Hong Kong's one-every-10 minutes!!!

To be fair, Airport Express service in Hong Kong stops at all stations, so you might better compare it with the City Line service which departs every 15-20 minutes. It is decent enough though, if you don't travel with hundreds other commuters in rush hours.

I will agree here that decreasing frequencies is never a good sign for passengers, like us.

To be fair, Airport Express service in Hong Kong stops at all stations, so you might better compare it with the City Line service which departs every 15-20 minutes. It is decent enough though, if you don't travel with hundreds other commuters in rush hours.

I will agree here that decreasing frequencies is never a good sign for passengers, like us.

Comparing Hong Kong's Airport Express with the Thai City Line service is like comparing Apples to a rotten Durian!

First of all, Hong Kong doesn't have a so called "City Line"
Secondly, "Express" does not mean "Non Stop" - get your facts right.

Last, but not least, the point we are arguing here is not how fast the "Express" is, but rather how frequent the service is. Nowhere did I say that the Thai Express train is not decent - it is fast and comfortable, but it just DOESN'T RUN FREQUENT ENOUGH!!!!

And for argument sake, if you do want to compare the speed of any "Express" service, the distance served should be the same otherwise it'll be another "apples to oranges"

เจริญ++ ปกติไม่มีคนนั้งอยู่แหละ แพงกว่าเวลาออก ก๋พอๆกัน เลือนเวลาอีกคราวนี้ก็เลือกนั้งแท็กซี่่่ดีกว่า ต่อเดียวถึงเลย

ผมเทียบเวลาดูแล้วนะครับ City Line กับ Express ใช้เวลาเดินทางต่างกันไม่ถึง 10 นาที แถมราคาก็เบิ้ลเยอะด้วย ทางที่ดีนะ ผมว่าไหนๆก็ลดเที่ยว Express ลงแล้วน่าจะเพิ่มความถี่ city line มากกว่าเพราะอย่าลืมว่า City Line ไม่ได้มีแค่ผดส.เครื่องบินใช้บริการเท่านั้นแต่บุคคลทั่วไปก็ใช้เหมือนกัน

ผมว่า Express line ก็ไม่ได้ช่วยอะไรมากมายหรอกครับ

ควรยุบ Express Line ไปเถอะครับ เเล้วก็เอารถมาวิ่่งเพิ่มความถี่ใน City Line ซะอย่างน้อยก็พยายามหารายได้มาให้พอคุ้มทุน

Express line = My 1st time in Bangkok. I took 2500 Baht taxi from airport, too expensive. So I will take 100 Baht "express" train instead.

From the airport, there is still rail services towards the city which depart every 15-20 minutes. That is all I meant.

I had used HK's system before, I did notice the differences, and I think many here did too.

And I have learned that this frequency decrease might be temporary. Still don't know when they will restore it back though.

จากประสบการณ์ไปส่งเพื่อนไป ล่าสุดเลยครับ เมื่อวาน นั่ง Express Line ไป จับ GPS พบว่า

ความเร็ว ตลอดสาย อยู่เเถวๆ 70-80 Km/hr ซึ่งเดิม รถจะทำความเร็วได้เต็มที่ ประมาณ 130-150 Km/hrs ช่วงตีโค้งออกจากสนามบินเเละไปสถานี ลาดกระบัง เเละ ทับช้าง ส่วนพอเริ่มเข้าเมือง จะลดความเร็วเหลือประมาณ 80-120 Km/hrs เนื่องจากระยะทางระหว่างสถานียาวไม่พอที่จะทำความเร็ว

ปล.ด้านบนเป็นผลการทดลองเพราะอยากรู้ โดยใช้ iPhone5 App GPS Finder ไม่ใส่เคส เริ่มจับสัญญาณดาวเทียมตั้งเเต่ พญาไท
ปล2. เป็นการทดลองส่วนตัว เเละความเชื่อส่วนตัวครับ ไม่ได้ใช้อุปกรณ์มาตรฐานครับ อาจมีการเปลี่ยนแปลง เเล้วก็เป็นไปได้

ผมว่าที่ทำเเบบนี้ก็เพราะ
1.บริษัทขาดทุนดำเนินกิจการ ไม่มีปัญญาสั่งอะไหล่สิ้นเปลื้อง มาเปลี่ยนทำให้ต้องลดความลด ลดความสึกหรอ เเละลดเที่ยว ลดต้นทุน
2.การดำเนินกิจการผมว่าผิดพลาด การตลาดไม่มี เอาง่ายๆ จะเติมเงินบัตรโดยสาร เเต่ในสถานีไม่มี ATM สักตู้ บางสถานีนะ ถามรับบัตรเครดิตไหม เคยถามอยู่นานมาละ ไม่รับอีก
3.พนักงานไม่สามารถสื่อสาร ภาษาอังกฤษ ได้อย่างเข้าใจ ไม่ต้องการเเบบ Fluency เเต่เเค่พูดรู้เรื่อง ก็ยังทำไม่ได้ เเล้วยังงี้จะโน้มนามฝรั่งไปใช้ Express Line ได้อย่างไร

จากข้อ 3 เคยเห็นอยู่ที ที่พญาไท ผู้โดยสารต่างชาติ จะซื้อตั๋วเเล้ว วันนั้นเครื่องอัตโนมัติไม่สามารถใช้งานได้ ต้องไปต่อเเถวที่ห้องตั๋ว ฝรั่งก็อยู่หน้าผม เเต่สิ่งที่ปรากฎที่ย้ำความเเย่คือ พนักงานไม่สามารถสื่อสาร ภาษาอังกฤษ ให้เข้าใจได้ ให้ฝรั่งชี้สถานี บนกระดาษ เเล้วก็ออกตั๋วคุยอยู่นานกว่าจะเข้าใจ ดูเวลาก็ประมาณ 10 กว่านาที ถามว่าฝรั่ง พูดชัดไหม ผมว่า ชัดเลยละ สำเนียง อเมริกัน เเต่พนักงานก็ยังงงๆ สรูปพนักงานออกตั่ว City Line ให้ ทั้งที่จุดหมายคือสุวรรณภูมิ เออเนอะ

ผมว่าผมมีความคิดเห็นส่วนตัวในการปรับปรุงนะ

1.City Line ไม่ควรถึง สุวรรณภูมิ ไม่งั้น จะมีผู้โดยสาร ทั้งคนไทย เเละคนต่างชาติ ที่รู้จัก หรือ ศึกษามาเเล้วจะใช้ Express หรอ ในเมื่อถึงเท่ากัน เเละ Express อาจจะช้าหรือรอนานกว่าด้วย
ควรถึงเเค่ ลาดกระบัง-พญาไท จะได้ช่วยทดเวลา เพิ่มความถี่การให้บริการ City Line ซึ่งเป็นรายได้หลักด้วย เเล้วหากผู้โดยสารอยากใช้ City Line ควรใช้ มักะสัน หรือ พญาไท เชื่อมเอา
2.Express Line ผมว่า 10 นาทีควรจะออกได้ เพราะหากเป็นทุก1 ชั่วโมง เอาคำว่า Express ออกดีกว่า
3.เรื่องง่ายๆทำไม่เป็น เเค่เครื่องรับบัตรเครดิต ติดตั้งไม่ได้หรอ มันสะดวกผู้ใช้บริการนะ เดี่ยวนี้ชีวิตเงินสด มันวุ่นวาน บัตรพลาสติก สะดวกกว่ากันด้วย
