This is a continuation of my previous trip report on Singapore Airlines' all business jet, the A345.
Having spent a week in Vancouver for a conference, it was time to return to Singapore... I had to take an Alaska Airlines flight from YVR to LAX to connect to my SIN-LAX flight. Before talking about the SQ flight, here are some pictures of YVR.

The Westin Hotel in Vancouver City. It was located in a very nice part of the city, and my junior suite was overlooking the mountains....

Vancouver Airport is one of the most beautiful airport I have ever seen. It has character and makes Changi Airport look dull...

I soon arrived in LAX after a 2.5 hour flight on Alaska Airlines. LAX is a dreadful looking airport that was undergoing major renovations. The airport looked very old. Here're pictures of the airport before my flight.

Not many passengers checking in for this flight as it was still 4 hours before departure time.

I took a quick shower in the Star Alliance lounge before heading to my gate..
Boarding was on-time and my flight soon departed for its 18 hour journey back to Singapore....

Amenities were distributed before take-off...

Warmed nuts were served soon after take off....

I regretted choosing the duck confit option. It was disgusting...

My favorite cheeses to end the meal...
Every passenger received a bottle of water after the meal and the cabin lights were switched off.

A couple of hours later, the crew came around with snacks and offered them to any passenger who was still awake...
As I was getting really bored, I took whatever they offered

8 hours into the flight...I still couldn't sleep, and decided that it was time for another meal! I chose the dim sum option from the snack menu. It tasted great!

As I was still full from all the snacks I had, the cabin crew suggested that I had a light breakfast...

We arrived at Changi Airport 30 mins ahead of schedule....
Overall the flight was great. The crew were attentive and were always offering passengers snacks and drinks.
It really did not feel like an 18 hour flight...it felt much shorter.

Sorry that I took so long to post this return flight, and for keeping it so short. I hope you enjoy the pictures that I have posted...

I look forward to my next long haul flight on Singapore Airlines! Hopefully in First Class!

Thank you for your review. Products and services offering in Singapore Airlines Business Class are somewhat better than those of mediocre airlines' First Class.

Thank you for your excellent review. SQ provides the better inflight services including meals and well designed seat in business class. I am looking forward to flying on BKK-SIN-LAX rout operated by Singapore airline. However, Thai is my selected airline for attending congress in USA next year. Hopefully, Thai will resume non-stop BKK-LAX service as previously operated. BKK-LAX flight via ICN departed in early morning is not good schedule and Thai idea to share this sector with Korean airlines such as KE and AZ is not quite smart.

Totally agree with YVR airport being so bright and nice. Love the real light inside the terminal and all the small (doesn't have to be uber expensive) shops.
And the surroundings around the airport is so scenic. However, it's more Hongcouver to me as there are many Hong Kongkian there.

SQ does no wrong on their A380. 1-2-1 for Business class config, the upper deck looks so spacious on SQ 380.
I am lucky enough to get to fly SQ 380 quite many times, what a great product (even in Economy class)

Food is well prepared, no spillage around the dish and is presented perfectly.
Wish someone can pay me to fly SQ Business class.
